Don’t live a life inhibited by missing teeth.
At Great Alpine Dental, we understand that losing teeth can be stressful. Not only does it impact the appearance of your smile, but it also affects the way you talk and chew. Are you tired of living a life inhibited by missing teeth? We can help you.
Dental implants are a natural-looking and long-lasting solution to missing teeth. Through the placement of titanium implants in your jaw, new prosthetic teeth can be attached. This can provide you with many years of function and a great-looking smile.
It’s important to note that replacing a missing tooth doesn’t affect only your looks. Missing teeth left unattended can impact your oral health. When you have one or more teeth missing, excessive stress gets placed on your remaining teeth. It can also result in your bite becoming altered. Missing teeth can also cause other teeth to tilt , move, wear faster as excessive load is put on them.
Dental implants are far more convenient than less permanent alternatives, such as dentures. And thanks to modern dentistry, the process is a lot less complex than what it once was.
Don’t let tooth loss restrict you from having a confident smile you love. Contact us to find out more about dental implants. They might just change your life! We also offer complete smile makeovers and full mouth reconstructions.

There are two parts to getting a dental implant. We first perform virtual surgery on your scan to make sure the process will be smooth, then the titanium implant is carefully placed in your jaw. The second part is the custom-made prosthetic tooth that is anchored on top. This top part can be a crown or a bridge depending on your needs. With Digital Smile Design, this crown or bridge is a ‘Natural Restoration’ inspired by the beautiful imperfections found in nature. Your new prosthetic tooth or teeth will be not just functional, but naturally beautiful. This is what we call a ‘DSD Natural Restoration’.

What To Expect When Having Dental Implants
At our dental practice in Myrtleford, dental implants are completed with a small surgical procedure. It’s done in such a way that it results in as little discomfort and downtime for you as possible. The procedure of getting dental implants, however, from start to finish, does need several dental appointments over a few months.
- In the first part of the process, we will take a digital scan of your teeth and your jaw. This is needed to assess the available spacing for the implant/s in your bone and gum tissue.
- During this phase of the process, the titanium implants are very carefully placed in your jaw. They are what your new teeth will eventually attach to.
- Whilst you go through a period of healing, you will be fitted with temporary teeth. Once healed, your permanent prosthetic teeth will be fixed to the implant/s.
- You may need a few appointments to perfect the fit of your new dental implants. But other than that, your new improved and fully functioning smile is ready!
You will be given specific instructions for the aftercare of your new dental implants. But as with your natural teeth, observing great oral hygiene will prolong their life.
To discuss the option of dental implants or other restorative dental treatments with our experienced dentists, please make an appointment.
