Dr Amit Kapoor is the principal dentist at and owner of Great Alpine Dental.
Graduating in 2002, he worked as a dentist in India for 7 years before relocating to Australia. Before his involvement in Great Alpine Dental, he was practising dentistry in Cairns, and Melbourne in the public and private sector. He also taught at The University of Melbourne.
Dr Amit enjoys the challenge posed by complex full mouth dentistry and he loves helping people with difficult oral conditions who achieve great smiles and stable oral health. Therefore, his post graduate education focus has been on learning complex dentistry, learning different disciplines within dentistry to offer a multidisciplinary approach to resolving complex dental issues. This also helps him offer his patients solutions which otherwise might not be offered..
Dr Amit is currently pursuing a Post Graduate Diploma in Implants from Europe, he has 5 years of experience in dental implants, from single teeth implants to full mouth implants, all on 4.
He is also pursuing Post Graduate Diploma in Digital Orthodontics to be able to combine this art of moving teeth within complex cases with the goal of achieving a more stable end result or sometimes simplifying a complex situation.
He has also completed the DSD residency by Dr Christian Coachman and is on track to become a DSD Master and making his practice into a DSD Clinic which ensures he has international support , end to end digitization and predictable results when helping his patients achieve a great new smile that lasts.
This has already helped a lot of people in our community to avoid travelling to Melbourne who have complex dental needs and have their dental health taken care of locally.
His belief in state of the art healthcare has motivated him to reinvest heavily in modern technology at Great Alpine Dental from lasers and microscope to CAD/CAM dentistry

Outside of dentistry, Yi enjoys being out in nature – hiking in the mountains and long walks by the beach. She is multilingual and can converse in English, Mandarin, Japanese, and is currently mastering Spanish! Oral Health Therapist
Annabelle graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor in Oral Health in 2006, joining the team at Great Alpine Dental in 2020.
Annabelle has had a range of great experiences in the dental industry so far, from school dental service in rural and regional Victoria, private practices in Melbourne and five years in the UK, the Caribbean and Canada. When she got back to Australia, she was lucky enough to work with one of Melbourne’s leading periodontists, which provided her with invaluable experience in advanced gum diseases and dental implants.
Annabelle loves oral health therapy and the opportunities it afforded her – one of her career highlights was volunteering dental care to remote communities. In western Australia and Papua New Guinea. Annabelle loves getting to know her patients and helping them achieve exceptional oral health. In fact, after an appointment with Annabelle we can guarantee you will be as enthusiastic about your teeth and gums as she is!
Annabelle grew up on a lovely property in the Riverina and considers Falls Creek a second home – being a keen skier and travel lover, she is thrilled to call these two places home!
Maria graduated from Wangaratta Tafe with Certificate III Integration Aide 1986 & Certificate III Aged Care 2014, joining the team at Great Alpine Dental in 2016.
Maria has been in dentistry for seven and a half years and is usually chair side assisting patients and dentists, sterilising the equipment or ordering stock. Maria loves working at Great Alpine Dental, regarding the people she works with like family – and the patients make her day too, especially when she can put a smile on their faces.
Maria is a grandmother and mother to a beautiful family, and her spare time is spent bush hiking, watching movies and doing her family tree with them.
Lisa has witnessed many changes to the dental industry since starting her dental career in 2003 after completing Certificate III & IV in Dental Assisting. She took all this knowledge and joined Great Alpine Dental in 2017.
I love meeting all the different kinds of people and building a professional relationship with them. Seeing them walk through the door with dental issues and then leaving with a confident happy smile.
Lisa loves working with all the different types of people that we get in the clinic. She also loves building a relationship with new patients that then become regulars. Lisa finds her job very rewarding when patients come in with issues and then walk out with a very confident smile after they have finished their treatment.
Lisa’s pre-dental life was quite a different world yet similarly specific – instead of teeth, she focused on everything horses, working with eventing horses, racehorses, polo ponies and even within the breeding industry. While that work is behind her now, she still loves horses and has her own that she takes out for a ride around beautiful national parks in our area. If Lisa isn’t doing that in her spare time, she’s nourishing her veggie patch or keeping fit in our wonderful region.
Chelsea has recently finished her training in Certificate III Dental Assisting and has been working at Great Alpine Dental since August 2020. What attracted Chelsea to our practice is the location, people and patients are as admirable as each other!
She loves hearing the stories from our patients’ hometown and their appreciation for the alpine region – and can relate, as she absolutely adores the alpine valley and the surrounding nature. Chelsea’s favourite part about her job is how rewarding it is to see patients’ confidence and smiling after they have had a full restoration of their smile. She loves the challenges work brings to her everyday and always has a goal to work towards. Chelsea loves to have a meaningful chat with the patients also while having a laugh.
Outside of dental work, Chelsea loves artistic activities, exercising and socialising with the people she cares about.
Natasha is currently studying her certificate III in dental nursing and has been working at great alpine dental since late 2021. What attracted Natasha to the practice was the location and the team.
She is a passionate and caring individual with an eagerness to learn. She enjoys the way the practice and team keep her mind active by teaching her new things every day, and providing her with a safe space to expand her knowledge and become the best dental nurse she can be.
Outside of dental work Natasha likes spending her time with her loved ones and playing netball.
