Enhance Your Smile Naturally
Veneers are a natural-looking and lasting solution to a range of dental issues. These include gaps between teeth, misshapen teeth, misalignment, cracks, or discolouration. At Great Alpine Dental Advanced Esthetics & Implants, we use high-quality porcelain veneers that are delicately handcrafted.
Veneers are wafer-thin shells that get attached to the front of your teeth. They allow for adjusting length, width, shape, and tooth colour. A porcelain veneer is remarkably similar in esthetics to a natural tooth, reflecting light the way a natural tooth would.
Many esthetic dentistry procedures enhance your smile, including veneers. But we do in-depth consultations to help find the possible treatment option for your needs and lifestyle.
What to Expect When Getting Porcelain Veneers
Each patient and their smile goal is unique, so the time it takes to get veneers from start to finish may vary. Usually, the process takes place over 4 steps which include:
Consultation and assessment –
We will begin by thoroughly assessing your teeth, gums, and general oral health to ensure you are a suitable candidate for veneers. They will also take the time to discover what you don’t like about your current smile and what you would like your new smile to look like.
Once you and your dentist have decided that veneers are the right choice, preparations for your new smile can begin. We carry out this process using Digital Smile Design, which includes taking a digital scan and photographs of your teeth and a video recording of your smile in action. This lets you co-create and digitally view your new smile before approving it.
An exciting part of this step is seeing a visual representation of your new smile! Think of it as test-driving your new smile! Depending on your scenario, you may have temporary veneers fitted until your permanent set is complete.
When your porcelain veneers are ready, you will come for your fitting appointment. During this appointment, we will make any adjustments needed for a flawless fit, followed by the bonding process. Once this step is complete, your new smile is ready for you to enjoy!
Check up –
We care about your results and recommend that you see us about 2 weeks after your veneers are placed. This allows us to check how your gums accommodate your new veneers and make any final fitting adjustments.
Veneers should be maintained the same way as your natural teeth. This involves brushing, flossing, regular dental check-ups, and professional cleans.
